What we keep, and why.

What we collect

Your name, contact details, the accounts you hold with us, the transactions on them, and a log of sign-ins to online banking (time, device, IP address). We collect nothing from third-party trackers, and this website sets only the cookies needed to keep you signed in.

How we use it

To run your accounts, to detect fraud, to meet our legal obligations as a bank, and to contact you about your accounts. We do not sell customer data. We do not share it with marketers.

Your rights

You can see every signed-in device and sign it out from Security. You can update your details from My details. You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by writing to us; we respond within 30 days and you receive a reference number for your request.

Errors and audit

Every action on your accounts is written to an audit log with who did it and when. If something goes wrong you'll see an error code of the form MT-NNNN; quote it to us and we can find exactly what happened.
